Avoiding Distribution Disasters
We've said it before, we will say it again. Sadly, there's no money in MAKING movies, only in SELLING them. While marketing convinces people to buy your work, you need distribution to make it available for them to do so. There's a lot of red tape in distribution, and it's hard to find reliable information about the structure of a deal, good deal points, and bad deal points. Luckily, this is a workshop from a producer's rep who's had a significant hand in the distribution of more than 15 films!
While we thoroughly recommend you get some level of professional help when it comes to distribution, it is exceptionally helpful to understand what you're getting in for. Here's some of what you'll be able to do when you're done watching this video*.

This 10 part workshop is quite a bargain when you realize how much it can transform your indie film career. But it's even better when you get all 4 in the series. They're all interdependent in some way, and the total of all of them is significantly greater than the sum of their parts. Sure, distribution makes your products available for sale, but you still need to market your work for people to buy it. Distribution might get money back into your production company, but you need to raise it in the first place to get the film made. That requires smart financing. With a star in your film, you're likely to make 4-5 times as much as you would without one. That requires a knowledge of how to package your project. Luckily for you, the Executive PRoducer Expressway package covers ALL of these topics and is 40% cheaper than buying the workshops individually. Plus you get a 3 hour workshop on film markets totally free! Check it out on this channel.
